Wana Welfare Association (WAWA) stands as a testament to the power of vision, dedication, and community spirit. Through our multifaceted approach, we continue to transform lives, fostering sustainable development and social change in some of the most underprivileged regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Empowering Communities, Transforming Lives: Peaceful, empowered, prosperous and resilient communities of the Newly Merged Districts and the neighboring regions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Dedicated to the principles of social justice, Wana Welfare Association (WAWA) endeavors to uplift the lives of the local communities in the newly merged districts and the neighboring regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Transparency; Integrity; Commitment; Resilience. Through these core values, WAWA continues to drive forward its mission of creating a brighter, more equitable future for the communities
In 2004, a group of visionary leaders in Tribal District South Waziristan (Lower) and Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, united around a shared dream. We established the Wana Welfare Association (WAWA) as a beacon of hope, aimed at uplifting the socially and economically underprivileged regions of South Waziristan. Our vision was grand: to foster sustainable development and social change over the next 80 to 120 years.
Our journey began with a strong focus on education, health, environmental protection, and human & natural resource management. We set out to transform lives, and by 2022, our impact had grown so significantly that we decided to expand our services across the entire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province

Ummah Children Academy (UCA) was founded in 2011 in a rented building, in Wana Lower South Waziristan, with the goal of providing quality free education to children affected by war.
WAWA regularly awards scholarships to support talented and deserving students. The program conducts tests and successful students are supported in paying their tuition fee of renowned educational institutes of the country
In rural areas where government schools are not available, WAWA has stepped in to fulfill the educational needs by establishing six Zindawar schools. These schools operate on a no-profit no-loss basis, ensuring that education remains accessible and affordable for all.
This campaign is dedicated to ensuring that every child has access to education. To promote the enrolment of out-of-school children, WAWA conducts community walks, workshops, seminars, and community mobilisation sessions.
